We had a wonderful morning in school as we celebrated Grandparents’ Day. The boys and girls led a lovely assembly all about Grandparents, St. Brigid, and Belonging, which is one of our school values.
The children recited poems and sang songs to show how much they love and appreciate their grandparents. Everyone listened proudly and enjoyed the special performances.
After the assembly, pupils and grandparents worked together to make St. Brigid’s crosses. It was great to see so many families sharing stories, helping each other, and having fun.
To finish off the morning, everyone had a cup of tea and some treats. There were lots of smiles, and we hope all our grandparents went home feeling happy and valued.
It was a lovely morning for our whole school community.
